Title: BlueVestment question
Post by: brother7 on July 14, 2014, 09:55:32 PM
I understand P2P-Picks are classified as Top 1%, Top 5%, Top 10% and Top 25%.
When designing a P2P-Picks filter on BlueVestment, one can choose a P2P-Picks Top Percentile from 1 to 99.
Should one only choose 1, 5, 10 or 25?
Or can one choose something like 3, 7 or 15?
If I choose 7, will I get all the Top 5% picks plus a few more that fall between 5% and 7%?
Thanks in advance.

The only fidelity is 5/10/25. Setting it at 7 won't do anything special; it will be the same as 5.

Is 1 a valid choice?
I read the May, 2013 paper that referred to the Top 1%, Top 5% and Top 10% strategies which led me to believe 1 was a valid choice.

Confused me as well when I first started. Lot of history. 1% was removed and it is part of 5%.

I think BlueVestment was just generically coding for future changes when they let you pick percentages other than 5, 10, 25.  It would be more intuitive and friendly if they just allowed for those or "snapped" to those numbers as you got close to them.
