...and here I thought WB2 was only investing for my sake!  Thanks for setting me straight, prius!  :-*

::) So, anyway...Peter, was there any discussion with WB2 about the competition between the retail vs institutional lenders?  I'm just curious if they are aware of it and what their take on it is...for my own personal interest, not because I believe WB2 is there for my sake and my sake alone.  I'm just curious as to their perspective if the issue was discussed.

Peter, when you met WB2, did you have any discussions about them taking large chunks of loans before most of the retail investors are able to make an investment?  I'm wondering what their thoughts are on this issue since we only hear from the retail investors (like myself) complaining about this issue.  Obviously, they have a lot of money they need to put to work and can't be too concerned with the retail investors.  But some sort of acknowledgement (and response) that they are aware of this issue would be nice to hear.

I don't think WB2 is investing in p2p for our sakes at all, nor should they be even thinking about it... It is prosper's job to referee and create the investment environment for big and small fish alike.

I don't have a problem with Prosper doing their due diligence.  I actually prefer it.  I'm just wondering whether the spike I'm seeing is isolated to myself or a much broader issue.  I may just be picking all the wrong Notes.  But if the issue is that more loans are popping up on the platform that shouldn't be appearing on the platform in the first place, then I would expect it to affect a much broader range of people.  If that is what is happening, then Prosper needs to adjust their standards of when a loan should be listed on the platform to weed out more of these problem loans/borrowers.  Otherwise, I, too, might need to adjust my filters.

According to the Jan 9th Prospectus, David Silverman, Jeff Jacobs and Lawrence Cheng are still listed under the "Management" section, which states, "The following table sets forth information about the Company’s executive officers and directors as of the date of this prospectus."  It appears they still need to do a little updating to their Prospectus--yes, I actually do read (or rather skim through) the Prospectus from time to time.

I think a bigger issue (than who has resigned) is the cash flow issue at Prosper.  Unless they secure another round of financing (to add to the over $70 million so far), Prosper won't have enough cash to continue operations regardless of the lawsuit outcome.  According to the last 10Q, the Prosper burned through $4 million in three months; and they only had about $4 million cash on hand at the end of September.  That is a more important issue at the moment.

Anyone else having issues with pending investments?  All my investments seem to be pended for days with the end result being the listing gets cancelled.
