Investors - LC / Escalation on Lending Club Why Not?
« on: September 15, 2014, 01:22:40 PM »
Typical industry standards in lending have escalation clauses. In the event borrower misses a payment lets say on Visa his interest rate on the balance goes up by X%. Why would lending club not have the same standard for its borrowers? I think it would be a deterrent to late payments, and would benefit everyone who lends?

How do you see that there are 3 mortgages? Regular lending club screen doesn't show that on my side.

My bet is that the guy is maxing out every credit alternative to go into banko court looking like a prime case for a complete wipe out.

Out of 400 or so notes over the last 6 months I have 8 full paid. Just FYI. Some are within two months.

We need a "Borrow It" Conference in order to bring things back into balance again.  LOL

Great idea. I think I could put together a very respectable presentation teaching people the value of borrowing money at interest rates over 20%! Especially people with high credit ratings. I will explain how in the world of socially responsible P2P borrowing, people with high income have a DUTY to take out loans at high interest rates - they are the ones who can best afford it, after all!

You mean kind of like the president does? Socially responsible to pay more into the system? :)

Same thing for me. In WA and thinking of doing through LLC that has investment capital.

Same thing for me, it is confusing to go back and find Par value for every note that was sold at the time of sale. What is the easiest way to do that?

General Lending Club Discussion / Lending Club Hitting Credit Reports
« on: June 27, 2013, 04:06:00 PM »
How can a note be 60+ days behind with Lending Club showing FICOs going up? Does Lending club hit their credit report with 60 day lates or does it completely negate that?

I have a few small IT ventures. Private equity in developments as well as development companies.
Just joined the forum and am 9 month LC investor now.

General P2P Lending Discussion / Re: Status on Peerform

Tried to register on peerform and the email said minimum investment will be $100k once they open up. IMO for an unproven platform that is too much.
