1% bonus to invest..lets see what's at stake increased blood pressure, bad math, funny site and not so great phone support. Yup, not doing it.

I think they used to explain the formula somewhere or maybe that was LC. Can't wait for my remaining loans to mature and never have to hear from Prosper again. Have you seen that returns graph on their site..scary stuff!

Oh yeah, I have the same pain.

I checked and my funds have not moved either.

Prosper site/colors feel like a junior high project.

I can't even get to the site now, it crashes regularly. Looks like Prosper tech just stopped giving a fudge.

We might get to see how that BRV works.

I pulled most of my money from Prosper too (because of their crappy technology and non-technical customer support) but will check your libraries. Thanks for sharing.

This article says Trump will be good for FinTech

"The proposed gutting of the Consumer Finance Protection Board, will likely mean that fintech companies will have an easier go of it (especially lenders)."

It's clear from the comments that the volume on the Folio secondary market was not as low as some of us assumed it to be. Folio trading neither makes Prosper any money nor helps with originations. One can also argue that by closing down Folio, Prosper wants the discouraged Folio investor to invest in the primary market.

Prosper's message is: Dear Folio buyer -  either you buy loans from our platform or leave. :)

We know volume was low.  Although volumes were never published, we had strong hints, just from watching the market.  My belief is that the volume was so low that there's no way folio could have been making a profit, and probably required prosper to pay folio just to keep the thing open.
Prosper removed the links to the secondary market from their pages and that might have caused reduced volume. There were many times I could not even reach Folio and not because of their legendary technical bugs - the links were simply not there.

First, the 'redesigned' page that does not sit still and now this. I feel Prosper is trying to get rid of the retail investors. Why not, we are a pesky lot ;)

I am unable to sell my notes on Folio. Anyone else have this same problem? Can they remove Folio access?

Can someone point me to the Prosper page that explains BRV?

You can download the data too. I found this tucked away in their documentation.

The annualized returns by vintages is a very useful feature. I can't find it on the new site, I hope they add that. Oddly, my return values on the old and new are different.
