Investors - P / "Principal adjustments" on Prosper Monthly Statement
« on: December 11, 2012, 04:01:11 PM »
Today I view my monthly statement from Prosper and I see I lost money from the line item "Principal adjustments".  The statement gave no explanation why I lost money, nor did it explain what a "Principal Adjustment" even is (in the context of Prosper investing).  Google offered no solid explanation either.

Any answers out there?

Suggestions / "Show unread posts since last visit" Not Working
« on: September 12, 2012, 12:05:22 PM »
Hey Peter,

When I click on the link "Show unread posts since last visit." on your forum I get the following result:

Quote
No unread topics found since your last visit.

I know for a fact this is not true as I can easily find posts I have not read (by manually searching).

Any ideas?  Logging in and out of the forum doesn't fix the issue either.

Anyone else having this problem?

General P2P Lending Discussion / $50k limit for loans?
« on: June 18, 2012, 09:23:49 AM »
I noticed most banks offer unsecured loans and lines-of-credit up to $50k.  Why doesn't Lending Club or Prosper off a loan up to this amount? I wonder if they will in the future?  Anybody heard anything on this topic?

Suggestions / Active "State Tracker/Progress Page"
« on: June 07, 2012, 01:43:03 PM »
Peter, the last update I have seen on your blog with regard to states available for borrowing/investing is a year old:

http://www.lendacademy.com/investing-lending/which-states-are-open-to-lending-club-and-prosper-investors/

Do you have a page somewhere else on your site that keeps a current running list of all states that LC & Prosper now support for borrowers & investors?

Investors - LC / LC Deposit Delay for New Money
« on: April 09, 2012, 02:20:21 PM »
I found out why Lending Club takes four business days to process a deposit/transfer of new money into one's account before the money is available for investing. As some of you may know, the deposit is instant with Prosper so I inquired with my LC rep as to why it takes so much longer with them.  Below is the response I received:

Quote
"The industry standard for processing and settling of an ACH transfer is 4 business days.  Some institutions are willing to take on the risk of posting credits before they have settled completely, and Prosper is apparently one of them.  We have taken the stance that we want there to be no ambiguity on the availability of the cash on the other side of the transaction."

Thought some of you may have wondered as well.

Today I was asked a great question - one of which I have no idea what the answer is so I thought I would put it on the boards and see if anyone knows for certain. Does anybody know if a business can get a loan from prosper or lending club?  And when I say "business" I mean getting a loan using the actual business name and FEIN (Federal Tax Identification Number) versus borrowing as an individual and using his/her social security number.

Any ideas?

Investors - LC / When will LC offer borrower pay performance history???
« on: September 29, 2011, 05:32:49 PM »
Does anyone happen to know when Lending Club will add the ability to view if an existing borrower has (or had) a previous loan with LC?  With Prosper, I love the ability to see if this is a repeat borrower and if he/she has been timely on previous Prosper loan payments.  When will LC add such a vitally important feature?
