General Lending Club Discussion / Best Lending Club Analysis Site?
« on: January 14, 2013, 01:06:07 AM »
I rely heavily on the analysis sites.  I recently had 3 notes go to grace period and all three notes were referred by the same analysis site.  Which LC analysis site have you had the most success with?

Interest Radar / Yearly Fee
« on: January 12, 2013, 01:05:23 PM »
The upcoming yearly fee is pretty high for a poor gal like me.  I recommend a grandfather clause so that the yearly fee will always be the amount you were quoted when you signed up.  Raised fees would only apply to new members.  I'm just concerned because the fee is so high to begin with so I can only imagine what it may be in 5 years once we are all hooked.  Your thoughts?

Interest Radar / Terms Defined

I would like to see acronyms better defined for those of us investing in layman's terms.  The site seems to cater to the financial guru.  Each page should have a description at the bottom or to the side with acronyms defined.

What is your opinion of Kiva?  I invested $100 in micro loans just out of curiosity.  Any success stories?

« on: June 02, 2012, 10:26:09 AM »
Have you folks seen the class action lawsuit against Prosper?  I got the letter in the mail on yesterday (6/1/2012).  I'm not interested in participating in this lawsuit, but I'm wondering how this lawsuit could impact investors?

Update from peter on 7/19/13:

This lawsuit has now been settled. You can read more about it here:

When it comes to Roth and Traditional one more advantageous over the other when it comes to P2P Lending?

Investors - LC / Lessons Learned
« on: September 22, 2011, 09:35:35 PM »
In the beginning I actually purchased several notes with 6+ inquiries.  Looking back I am not surprised that I had so many charged off.  Another thing that they had in common is that most of these defaults were renters and the loan amounts were small....$2K - $6K range.  After some hard lessons learned and a whole lot of reading I'm experiencing fewer defaults.  Wish I knew then what I know now.
