« on: July 06, 2019, 09:03:25 AM »
Is anyone else having this problem?

I put in my UN/PW
Click Login button
Get this message 'Whoops, looks like something went wrong.'
Click OK button
Get this message 'Loading user account data...' and it sits at 75%

It's hard to do things when you can't get in and their support says that they are out until Monday.

General Prosper Discussion / Prosper not in Missouri anymore???
« on: September 28, 2018, 04:53:14 PM »
You can't invest in Prosper anymore if you live in Missouri. I started getting the below message yesterday when I logged into my Prosper account.

I have not received an email from them about this.
There is nothing about this on Prosper's website, including their Blog or Press sections.
I have not been able to find anything out about this on the web.
There is nothing about this on Lend Academy's website, including their Editorial/Blog or News sections.
And the most interesting thing about this is that their website says we can. Scroll to the bottom and under Contact Us, click Legal, and then under All site members, click Legal compliance.

Prosper is currently available only to investors who reside in the following states: Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

For the people that are going to say, just call them, I have never had a good experience with their customer service. The few times I've used it, the information I was given ended up being wrong. That's why I trust Lend Academy, this forum and the web more than I trust them.

Unfortunately, at this time investors in Missouri are not able to invest or transfer money to Prosper. You may transfer money out of your Prosper account as funds become available from loan payments.

Investors - P / Loan Volume
« on: October 24, 2017, 07:16:59 PM »
Is it just me or does Prosper seem to have very few loans to choose from lately? There have been a few times where they didn't even have one loan to invest in. I don't mean one loan that matched my filter, but just any loan.

NSR Invest / Where is Prosper's current loan data so I can backtest???
« on: August 07, 2017, 09:31:52 PM »
Does anyone know why NSRPlatform hasn't uploaded any loan data from Prosper since 9/30/2016. Prosper says that they release it quarterly, but we're getting close to being a year with no uploads. Prosper.com doesn't have the data, which seems just weird to me that they don't host their own backtesting data, and I don't know of any other website besides NSRPlatform that has any loan data.  I like Prosper, but they seem to be doing everything they can to run off individual investors. I hope someone from NSRPlatform or Prosper replies and enlightens us on what is going on.

When will PLS support Prosper? I know I'm not the only one that would be interested in being able to use PLS with my Prosper account. Thanks for all you have already done for the P2P retail investor. I wish Lending Club and Prosper cared as much for us.

Investors - P / Quick Invest/saved searches still not working
« on: April 07, 2017, 12:11:33 AM »
I received an email from Prosper on the evening of 3/30 saying that 'Quick Invest' was being replaced with 'Recurring Investment'. It said that the transition was going to happen between 3/31 and 4/3. After that, the new tool would resume placing bids according to the investment criteria specified in the first priority 'Quick Invest' search.

1) I have had no money invested since this change was started on 3/31.

2) The instructions they included on how to get to the new Recurring Investment section don't work. From the email
You will be able to access the Recurring Investment tool, and view or change your settings, by first clicking "Browse Loans" on your My Account page, then clicking on the "Make recurring investment" link at the top of the Invest with Prosper page.

3) The old Quick Invest section to create, modify or delete saved searches isn't there anymore.

4) On a side note, the interest rates shown for Seasoned and All Notes have matched each other since this change was started on 3/31.

5) Less than half a day's notice of these changes is not the kind of customer service I expect.

Is anyone else having any or all of these issues?

My wife and I each have an IRA with Prosper.com. I've been happy with Prosper and have added to it each year. I've never used the note trading part of Prosper, but I knew it was there if I ever needed it. Now that it has been shutdown, I'm concerned about an exit strategy when something should happen to us. I don't want my trustee to have to wait five years for all my loans to mature to be able to get to all the money. I've search the web, but I don't see anyone else asking this question. I would think it would be on a lot of people's minds. With no note trading option, how can someone liquidate their Prosper investment without waiting for all the loans to mature? Is your estate really going to have to sit around and wait for all your notes to mature to be able to get to all their inheritance.

NSR recently changed their Prosper back testing tool to not return results that have an ĎAll Matching Loansí count of less than 200. I was still able to do this a week and a half ago, but now I canít. I understand that everyone should have at least 200 notes in their portfolio, which I do, but to now not allow me to see the past performance data if the dataset has less than 200 notes seems a little overboard. I like to do my research my way and NSR telling me that Iím not smart enough to realize an overall count of 100 isnít as valid as 10,000 is keeping me from doing my research. Either return the data per my settings or allow me to pick what the returned data is broken out by. Meaning maybe I donít want the returned data broken out by ĎIncome Rangeí or ĎInquiries Last6Monthsí, which it currently does. Maybe I would like to pick other things from the setting options.

Their Performance Data/Back Testing page, https://www.prosper.com/invest/performance.aspx, has been down for a while. Yes, I know NSR, as well as others, have Back Testing tools. I just want to validate things sometimes straight from the horses mouth. I have called and put in tickets a few times, all to no avail. Have any of you that are more experienced with getting things fixed from them heard anything? This isn't rocket science and with 2015 being the year of the investor, they just aren't giving me the warm fuzzies.

The more knowledge we share, the better and more successful weíll all be.

Since NSR is going to fee based auto investing in a few days, does anyone know of any site that does free Prosper auto investing for a manual filter the user creates? When P2P-Picks shut down, I thought the communication said that the new NSR fee was for if you wanted to use NSRís new NSR Picks. That way if you wanted to use their high quality algorithms, you paid a small fee for them, which made total sense. So I thought if I used a manual filter I created, it would still be free. I now know that was wishful thinking. This is why Iím looking for a place that I can take my manual filter and still have Prosper auto investing done for free. Did I mention that Iím cheap? And yes, I know I can use Prosperís Automated Quick Invest. The thing is that Iíve heard that it takes close to last place in line after all the APIs have run. That just leaves the scraps on the floor for Prosperís Automated Quick Invest to go through for my filter. Thanks in advance for any thoughts or advice.

Investors - P / Prosper Roth IRA custodian and automated investing
« on: April 04, 2015, 10:13:45 AM »
I've been reading about P2P lending for a while now and have decided to jump in. Not wanting the hassle of more tax paperwork, I decided to invest my Roth IRA contribution in Prosper notes, Lending Club isn't available to MO investors. This has led me to two questions that I canít seem to find being discussed anywhere.

1)   Prosper has two IRA custodian options, Equity Institutional and Millennium Trust. What is the difference between them or are they basically the same and it really doesn't matter which one I go with? I was thinking of going with Millennium because their fees seemed lower, but I figure there must be more than just that difference or Prosper would only offer one option. Yes I've asked Prosper and all Iím told is that they canít give any investment advice.

2)   This question baffles me. Iím sorry, but Iím lazy. I have every bill setup on auto ACH payments. Every credit card, utility bill, church donation are automatically paid every month out of my savings account. Both Equity and Millennium say that they canít do this. Every time I want to invest, I have to manually do it by sending a check or initiating a onetime ACH. I canít setup a recurring ACH to pull $500 from my savings account every month. On top of that, I was told by both companies that even if they would pull money every month, they couldn't send it to Prosper because each investment needs its own ?funding direction? form. That form tells them what they are supposed to do with the money they just received. I asked if I could just fill out one and it would be good for all future investments going forward until I informed them otherwise. They said no and that concept even seemed foreign to them.

I want to be able to auto invest each month to make it easier to stay fully invested in Prosper notes instead of having cash sit uninvested. Iím going to be investing via the API, so the auto investing part should not be a problem. I never imagined that automatically getting the money to them would end up being a problem. Iím just hoping that I've been speaking to uninformed reps at both companies. So, how do you guys do your automated IRA investing?
