How current is the CSV download? Is it current as of the download? Or is it updated periodically throughout the day?

LC gave me a call today....

They looked in to the data issue and said the data on the website includes data from Q1 & Q2 2006. The downloaded data starts in June 2006 (thus excluding Q1 & Q2).

I don't really care about that data so, for me, it's a non-issue.

I get 391,889 records for all 3 files. gets 391,889 records.

Yep - that's what I get too! But the LOAN PERFORMANCE DETAIL chart here - gets 392,201.

Thanks for acknowledging by beef about the data.  ;D

I once worked for an accountant. We were trying to balance an account that was off by $.01. After some time I reached into my pocket and said, "here a penny!" The accountant said, "jackbequick, you don't get it. It's not the penny I'm worried about, it's why I'm off - it could mean there are bigger problems."

I guess I'm just being a little too picky about thinking the CSV should balance to Lending Club's website data.

I've downloaded Lending Club's 2014 - 09/30/14 data. I have 161,232 records, which is about the only thing I think is right.

The data dictionary on the download page doesn't match the headers in the CSV file. The variables are inconsistently named between the downloaded data and the REST interface - It seems a mess. I'll start with a simple sum of funded amount (funded_amt) by grade...

Here's are the values I get
Charged Off9,851,725
Fully Paid109,081,375
In Grace Period17,342,550
Late (16-30 days) 7,297,925
Late (31-120 days) 23,292,550
TOTAL 2,396,641,125

These numbers don't match Lending Clubs own website here (you have to manually adjust the start and end data under "LOAN PERFORMANCE DETAILS".

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what it is. Any thoughts?

How many loans do I need to have in a portfolio to ensure I don't loose all my money?

Specifically, I'm defining a narrow filter and I'm trying to determine how many notes I need to fund.

Hello All!

Is there any difference between investing two times at $25 in a single loan or $50 one time in the same loan?

Is it easier to get liquidity for the $25 loan?
