Any data on repayment history for your typical, run-of-the-mill gangboss?

Anyone know? Do they trickle in or is it one dump at close of banking hours or what?

General P2P Lending Discussion / Upstart
« on: June 24, 2014, 01:09:07 PM »
Any one with much Upstart experience?

And Peter, will you be starting an Upstart section for this forum?

My impressions, in no particular order of importance:

the minimum investment of $100 will make diversification more difficult and IMO, diversification is key to ROI
the zero service fee will increase to 0.5% - 2.0 % APR if servicing is transferred out of Upstart (perhaps if they are sold?)
the "purchase price adjustment" is a nice touch, but really means pennies on the dollars charged off
there are only 41 loans listed this AM
loans available page -- you can't sort the columns
additional data on borrowers is nice (dependents, education, etc) but I wish they would separate debt into student loans, auto, consumer

Investors - LC / Daily time of payment credits

Does anyone know what time(s) of day LC credits borrower payments to investor accounts? Is this sporadic or on a fixed schedule? I haven't seen a pattern, but I don't crunch the numbers.

Investors - LC / Recovery after charge off
« on: May 08, 2014, 04:46:57 PM »
I've been an investor in LC for over 3 years, with a total of over 3100 loans. To date, about 80 of these loans have been charged off. I've been tracking these to learn from my mistakes, and of these charge offs, only 11 are loans that could pass my lending filters today. (Mostly tightened up with higher income, higher FICO).

I've also been tracking recoveries after charge off, and to my surprise, over 42% of my charged off loans have netted some additional recovery. This amount is usually only a few cents, though some have been a bit over a dollar.

It looks like collection efforts have stepped up recently. Any one else notice this?

Investors - LC / Wells Fargo reverses ban

And says that what it said wasn't what it meant: Wells Fargo’s statement attempted to clarify its initial position: “The original guidance given to team members was based on investing in the equity of a P2P lending company.”

Looks like LC isn't abandoning the small retail investor. Nice.

An error has occurred, it has been logged and will be addressed as soon as possible.

How is LC addressing this? I'm happy business is booming, but they need a more stable system. Sheez!

Investors - LC / No new loans?

Any one else notice no new loans at today's 10 am posting? But total loans went from 63 to 48 in minutes, nonetheless.

Any thoughts on evolution of collection pratices if (rather, WHEN) the largest tranche of a delinquent LC note is held by an institutional investor?

Investors - LC / IRA Withdrawals
« on: August 14, 2013, 04:19:43 PM »
Has anyone begun IRA withdrawals? Any troubles? Obviously it would be difficult to accumulate the cash to meet a traditional IRA's RMD under LC alone, but with a Roth it wouldn't matter, as there is no RMD. Or are you all so very young that you can't imagine being age 59 1/2 . . .
