Investors - LC / Re: Net Annualized Return includes Folio Sold Notes?

The return displayed in your Lending Club account does NOT take into account Folio transactions. Regardless of that fact, the Lending Club return is not a very accurate method to compute your return. The best way is through IRR calculations in excel, or through

Peter has a blog post floating around on how to use the functionality in excel.

Good luck!

I recently updated my LendingClub greasemonkey script. It tries to fix some of the things I think are missing from the LendingClub/ Foliofn  user experience. If you are interested you can find it at

Add comments to loans. (Comments are stored locally on the users' computer and ARE NOT SHARED, even for the same user on different computers. Comments can be exported / imported with relative ease, for backing up or transferring to another computer or browser.)

Add a missing Loan id (or Note id) in various places.

Add missing Interest Rate to some tables.

Highlights certain keywords on Loan Performance page. Highlights over- and under-payments. Also adds a FICO change chart -- no more having to click a second time to see that graph.

Add links to notes (or loans) in various places, like Account Activity or Foliofn Year-end Summary.

Additionally, for Foliofn users:

Lots of highlighting on the My Account Open Sell Orders page. Add buttons to make it easier to select which notes you want to reprice or cancel.

Also, adds an Auto Price feature with a user-editable pricing function for selling or repricing notes. It can be as simple or as complex as you want. Calculates and displays a markup in real-time.

Lots of highlighting and data filtering for Browse Notes. Makes it easier to find the hidden gems."

Is there a way to integrate this script with chrome?

I can't find grease monkey in the chrome webstore, but I almost always use chrome over Firefox...

Other than that it's great!

After a conversation with a fairly knowledgeable individual at Lending Club...

The big news in this thread is that there is a 'fairly knowledgeable' rep at LC. Please post her extension!

Haha! In my 3+ years investing with Lending Club, I have noticed a constant decline in the level of knowledge that investor service reps have had over the years - she restored my faith that some of them know their stuff, are friendly, and know how to keep investors happy.

You asked for it, so here it is :)

Rachel Lee

After a conversation with a fairly knowledgeable individual at Lending Club,I understand that technically, Lending Club doesn't owe investors any payments after 5 year maturity, but it is generally the case that they would remit any payments made after the 5 year mark to the investors who own notes that correspond with the loan (I think that is reasonable).

As for the fact that they didn't update the legalese (on page 1 of the newest prospectus dated 11/28/12) for 5-year loans, she mentioned that she'll check with the appropriate individual to determine why the update was not made for 5 year loans (as its now more applicable to most loans).

Finally, after looking at stats, there is a very small percentage of loans that will receive payments beyond their maturity (just looking at the standard default curve, they will more than likely stop paying sooner than maturity).

And my dream would be to have these types of sites autolist my notes for sale on the secondary market--- I started messing with scripting the secondary market and got bored so didn't get much progress done and just wrote a small external script to grab the screen and fill in the numbers for the sale price at my desired return...

I've been looking for a similar tool to ease the hand-entering of all the sale prices on Folio. Would you mind sharing this script file?

Interest Radar / Interest Radar vs. P2P Analytics
« on: November 13, 2012, 06:16:54 PM »
After further reviewing the interest radar site, I find that it's well-made and provides some unique functionality.

What I find hard to figure is the fact that (if I'm not mistaken), both P2P Analytics and Interest Radar use some form of an algorithm to determine the best-performing loans. What I find is that most of the loan recommendations are not the same on both sites. Initially, I was expecting most loans to be present on both sites for top-performance, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

I wondered if anyone can share their two-cents here? Anyone use both services?
