Foliofn - LC / Re: How Fast Can Loans Be Liquidated?
« on: April 11, 2014, 02:38:24 AM »
2) Does anyone know if it is possible to directly purchase notes from someone? So for example if ProsperInvestor07 wanted to sell his whole portfolio and I wanted to buy some or all of it, could we just do it in one transaction?

The only way to purchase notes from someone else is to go through Folio.

I am thinking about picking up some of their stock when they do their IPO.  I have an account on Sharebuilder but I have never tried to buy stock from an IPO.  Do I need to do anything special the day it comes out to buy it?  Can I just log into my Sharebuilder account and put in my order for their ticker symbol?

If you want to purchase stock on the IPO day, it's no different than buying stock in any other company.

However, if you want to be part of the actual IPO, you need to have a couple hundred million dollars in an account with Goldman Sachs. Even then, good luck getting a sizable amount of shares.

Yet when I try to sign up for NickelSteamRoller Premium, or InterestRadar automation, or LendingRobot, they all seem lame, and not very customer-centric or user friendly.

I use Interest Radar. If you can get past the learning curve, the tool is extremely powerful. The best part is that it's the only service that filters notes on Folio in addition to the primary market.

Welcome to the forums P2PFact! I see you've already met Core, our greeter. He's still pretty upset after being fired from his previous job as one of DanB's fluffers. He's been displacing his anger ever since. It's quite unhealthy, if you ask me.

I'm digging into the data via statistical analysis

Are you focusing credit attributes? Or are you delving into the much more difficult arena of note pricing on FolioFN?

I checked and IR is no longer vulnerable.

Couldn't someone just aggregate the data during each new issue period to deduce Lending Club's sales figures?

I have been getting auto-sell confirmations all day, including one that came in just a few minutes ago. It's probably just a temporary downtime.

Would there have been any benefit (to LC or investors) to having charge-offs made before the end of the calendar quarter?

There is zero benefit to charging off more frequently. The longer a loan remains active, the higher the possibility and amount of recovery. At the very least, it gives you more time to fire-sell the note.

Looks like they just charged off some more yesterday or today (30th or 31st). NO FAIR!

Maybe their spies caught on to this post and they improved their policy.

5 years after Issue Date, LendingClub stops passing payments through to the lenders.

What's even better is that it's a 3-year loan.

Interest Radar / Re: Auto-sell and Inventory Management not working
« on: March 31, 2014, 11:03:33 AM »
I sent Rev a bug report Tuesday night because a couple of my notes, such as this one, were listed on 3/24 at a -5% discount (which is my IGP logic) instead of a 7.5% premium (my Current logic). However, these notes were never IGP at the time, or at least I don't think they were. Lending Club sometimes retroactively changes IGP status when they back-date payments, so that might have been the issue.

Either way, Rev probably disabled the Auto-Sell feature as a precautionary measure while he researches and/or fixes the problem.

So I followed up with Rev and, as far as we can tell, Auto-Sell had been working just fine. I must have moved the notes into the wrong portfolio or something. Though, the extent of my mistake is still cause for suspicion.

I blame Core. Probably hacked my account so he could pick up those 11 notes at a 5% discount. That dirty thief...

The sales prices still won't update with the cut and paste method.  Also, the Monthly Sales page stays the same.

Monthly Sales page? Automatically updating sell prices on existing sell orders? Are you sure you are talking about Interest Radar?

Auto sell and inventory management don't appear to be working... anyone else having the same issue?
