No new loans?
« on: September 06, 2013, 01:09:10 PM »
Any one else notice no new loans at today's 10 am posting? But total loans went from 63 to 48 in minutes, nonetheless.

LC was probably doing some kind of test to see the impact of late updates on API and auto-invest 3rd party sites.

This can be good and bad.

Good if people (and systems) will start spreading their activities throughout the day.

Bad if the systems will press continuously, rather than just 4 times a day.

That's pretty sneaky; I like it.  I don't see what it would accomplish but it sure would be entertaining watching the logs over there.  Here are a couple more equally plausible ideas:

1. They made a deal with some institutional investors and secretly gave them the release time beforehand.

2. They want to see how many complaints it causes and who is doing the complaining.  How does that gang-related game go... Gangstas drive around without headlights on and the first car that flashes its lights gets all shot up.

Interesting. It was a glitch I think. My site looks for new loans between 10:01 and 10:06. 99% of the time it's in those bounds.

My tongue-in-cheek theory, since I noticed zero loans available three times in the past two days just before new ones posted, is that they were waiting for the old batch to clear out before releasing the new batch.  Seems like a smart thing to do to me, but probably not what happened!

Interestingly, there were no IR D-G top score loans released at 10:30 AM. There are almost always a few.... Who took those!?
