Feature request: Ignore User
« on: October 27, 2013, 11:54:50 AM »
Will we ever get the option to ignore a user?

In other words, choose to have certain users' posts hidden or collapsed?

Thanks.

Profile | Account Settings | Modify Profile | Buddies/Ignore List | Edit Ignore List
and then there's also a checkbox elsewhere in forum settings where the posts are actually hidden.

I may have just assisted in sending all of my own posts into oblivion! I do hope it does not create some kind of causality loop.

Good suggestion.  However, it is an open forum.  Sometimes words of wisdom/value come from the most unlikely places.  Even whales!!

This seemed to do the trick. Thanks!

Except that orcas aren't whales, they're large dolphins who devour whales (among other things) They're sometimes called "killer whales" not as in hammerhead sharks................but as in killer of whales. Glad to clear that up for you. Yes, the nature channel does come in handy.

Imagine what other words of wisdom/value one would glean if one fully understood the language & inferences of this Orca.  :)

While a grown man has visions of being an orca killing mighty wales (see what I did there?), I see Orca's like this

DonB, why, you must assumed I was talking about you?  Words of wisdom/value and DonB are incongruent!

Everyone here knows that!

That news story quotes one of the fishermen saying this of the orca:
"If we stopped petting her, she'd cry some more."

Hmmm!

rlv99...........I assume you're attending the Nov 12th meet at LC.
Pls. bring your Russian girlfriend. Assuming she's under 35 & not just a gold or silver digger..........there's a real good chance (over 95%) that she & I can talk shop. :)

Hey I make no guarantees as to the number. No, I don't want to see photos. I've learned that lesson long ago.  :)

Sorry DanB, you are wrong on both counts.  We've already been to LC.  Can't see any advantage for me to attend.  And she is 50!

It wasn't a "guess". The meetup isn't about LC. It just happens to be at LC. I assumed you'd want to meet your fellow p2p enthusiasts. I guess I was mistaken.
50?? Good God! Please, forget what I said. No offense but isn't there an upper limit to the term girlfriend??  :)

That all depends on the age of the man, Dan.  And then we are faced with what else do you call a woman you sleep with but aren't married to.  Maybe "Soviet squeeze" would be appropriate here.  Red inamorata.

We mustn't blame him for not wanting to attend.  If I had a Russian girlfriend at home I probably wouldn't spend time with such trips either... tea and crumpets on the 11th floor.  No, not when there is still communism to be spanked out of her.  Now that I think about it, 50 doesn't sound so bad.  I may just have to order me one of them Russians.
