Prosper Returns
« on: February 02, 2014, 10:45:18 AM »
As of Feb. 1st, my Prosper returns plummeted from 13% seasoned and 14% unseasoned to 8% seasoned and 9% unseasoned.   :o

I have had my account for over two years and have over 800 notes in my account. My account has always hovered between the 12-16% return rate.

Did Prosper change their investment return calculation or have I just been hit with a lot of defaults this past month?  Has anyone else experienced this?  Maybe I have, due to a limited selection, got into notes that I had no business getting into?

I logged in this morning and saw the same thing.  I think it is a bug.

I wouldn't worry. People on this forum tend to worry a lot about estimating returns and so on. The reality is that the only return that matters is your realized after-tax profit. Everything else is just speculation.

Ditto here.  I was shocked to see the drop in return, doesn't make any sense since I didn't have many charge offs in January.  For 2 1/2 years I never dipped below 13% now I'm at 10.35%???  Has to be a mistake.

Seeing the same thing on my end.  12% to 6%, must be a technical glitch

14.4 to 9.5
3% past due and nothing new. the autoinvest did find a single loan for me on 2/2/2014 so maybe the single imac they're using just got too tired to calculate everyone's returns

It is a bug, I have a fairly new account that dropped to -2.44%.  They are likely missing some field in the latest data pull.  I have noticed this a day ago.

It's no glitch.  They are finally coming clean.  Michigan probably made them do it.

The truth shall set them free.
