parallel processing disabled
« on: February 03, 2014, 08:55:48 PM »
Anyone know how to enable parallel processing in Oracle VM? I just replaced my system and have 16G and a 6 core I7 proc. More then enough. The previous system did not have the cores to do parallel processing apparently. Do I really need two proc's or two virtual procs?

To enable parallel processing, assign 2 virtual cpu's and 1GB of memory.  There is not a significant increase in performance with more resources than this.  The additional memory is to preload both models into memory before notes are downloaded.  Two cpus are required to run both models at the same time.

Thanks SL - I have to go into the bios and enable Intel VT-x then I was able to use the vprocs.
