BlueVestment or PLS?
« on: April 14, 2014, 05:13:38 AM »
Hopefully just a simple question. Iv been with LC for over a year with over 10K invested so I have a decent amount of available cash coming in. With work kids and whatever I find myself with cash just sitting there making 0. Iv been looking at "auto investing" abit and came with 2 of the few we have to choose from. My question is why one over the other? is one better than the other or are they (all of them) about the same?

Thanks,
Mike

The last I heard was that PLS was being replaced with a server-side version, but it's not yet done.  I don't think I'd want to fuss with learning something that's just going to be going away soon.   Kinda like buying a blue colored toilet... where are you going to get parts for that when something gets cracked years down the road?  Homeowners please do not install colored toilets.

I've never used PLS but I have used BlueVestment, Lending Robot, and Interest Radar.

I was happy with Interest Radar until loans started getting funded too quickly and Interest Radar was just too slow. At that point, I switched to Lending Robot because it did investing through the API and was extremely fast. Then once BlueVestment switched to API investing, I switched to it and have been very happy. I have auto deposits going into 2 Roth IRAs each month and everything gets invested quickly with my pretty strict filters. I barely even check on my accounts anymore. I think you'd be very happy with BlueVestment.

Bought a home last year. Came with a blue toilet. Don't judge =).

Thanks for the replies. Is one faster than the other?

I've used lendingrobot and PLS.  I presently am using PLS.

Both work well.  PLS is presently lower cost.

I have used PLS, IR, and now BV. I have to agree that BV is a great service.

Nathan is quick to answer questions and the service does a great job investing. Very fast.

Give it a try. I'm sure you will be pleased with the performance.

If both are free, how is PLS lower cost?

Being free makes PLS presently lower cost.

BlueVestment is also free, so how is PLS lower cost?  Under what mathematical rules (or combination of drugs) is 0.00 less than 0.00?

My goodness.  You guys love to jump on a sentence out of context, don't you.  I said that I had used both LendingRobot and PLS, am now using PLS because it is lower cost.  It is indeed lower cost than LendingRobot.  I know nothing about bluevestment, and never said anything about bluevestment, so please find something more useful to do than yell at me.

After re-reading your post I can now see what you probably meant.  But the stated subject of this thread is BlueVestment or PLS so you can probably see where someone might assume that you using a comparative word like "lower" might be on-topic rather than random effluent.  Out of context indeed.  But who?
