There is no Folio API*.  It would be logical to assume that there are also no docs for that which does not exist.

* Those of you (vast minority) who think that a web site which e.g. utilizes javascript to handle pagination is some kind of "public API", well you'll just have to go sit in the corner until you can behave properly.  By that logic almost every freaking web site on the planet offers an "API".  And no, they don't.

Unfortunately, screen scraping is the only way. I've tried asking them, but they won't give out any folio information.

You can download available notes on LC FOLIOfn from their Browse Notes page: https://www.lendingclub.com/foliofn/notesRawData.action

Thanks Fred,  I'll look at it once my account gets approved.  They take quite a bit of time to approve accounts I guess.

Jmar - you should give LC a call or email. Your folio account should have been approved right away. If it was prosper than that is normal.

Hopefully you answered all their questions with what they wanted you to say. The Truth is not a concern in the finance industry.  ::)

You need to change the filter criteria first (e.g., uncheck the "Never Late" check box, check other statuses).  The download file is based on the filters.

Also, just noticed that now there is a link to "Download Full Inventory" at the bottom of Browse Notes page.

Thanks, I never imagine there can be more than 50,000 loans for sale on the market. The link that you gave works very well to filter loans with parameters.

Why does the site show 6-7k of loans on the web but in the spreadsheet have 100k of notes?  Do they only show current notes on the site vs non-current/current on download??

Why does the site show 6-7k of loans on the web ...

Did you mean 60-70k of notes?

This is due to the default filter setup on FOLIOfn Browse Notes page, where the "Never Late" status is selected.  If you unselect this and select other statuses, you will get 100k of notes.

This link seems to work for web browser. Is there a way to make this link work for a program?

Hi Fred, I don't see the browse notes link on that page. I just see "This page does not exist."
