Who comes up with the list of Related Companies at the bottom? I've never heard of any of them.
I think there's a footnote somewhere saying who they buy various data from.
And what does NEC stand for?
"Sector: Financials > Industry: Consumer Lending - NEC"
Government-speak meaning "other".
You see this on the federal reserve statistics web site, where the fed explains that this means "Not Elsewhere Classified". I think it means doesn't fit into one of their standard categories like mortgages, car loans, credit card loans etc. LC makes ordinary consumer loans, so I don't think they fit the fed use of NEC, but if somebody is categorizing companies I could imagine they might put LC there. Just imagine, there's some guy whose job it is to figure out what damn category new companies go in.
